At some point we are going to realize subreddits were the minimum viable product to many gigantic, previously thought small markets as the Internet grows. The same way we thought “gosh, who would want to watch someone play video games?”


When technology is both inspiring & frightening at the same time, it's usually a sign of something important to come.


I often think about people working at unjoyful jobs and wonder if there's probably an Internet company that hasn't been built yet that would enable them to flourish. It seems so clear that a new creator middle-class ($60-80K) would spawn around all kinds of weird Internet niches.


I don't know when it will happen but I really do believe the world will get sick of software centralization the same way it's gotten tired of privacy violations. When it does, that will really set crypto on a pace that's beyond anything we've ever seen with the web.


I wish there was a way to subsidize building software apps for common things we do as a society (looking up weather, paying a meter, looking at headlines) with a small team making it insanely great. Some products just won’t make a lot of money but would be impactful.
