There's never been a better or more prosperous time in tech to allow employees the freedom to follow their conscience. You absolutely do not have to work for the surveillance state, programming censorship apparatus, or writing defensive press releases to find employment.


The best part of working on defeating spy pixels in emails is when whistleblowers inside app and marketing companies send me reports on how to block their products too.


Mass commercial surveillance should be treated like any other form of stalking. Like a criminal act. Also, you should be able to put a restraining order on any of these companies either doing the stalking or buying it. Transgressions would incur executive jail time.


Any email sent in bulk to people from whom you do not have explicit, informed consent is spam.


Encryption is our best bulwark against the abuses of government snooping. No mere "policy" will ever deter them permanently. Only math will.
